Pacific Rim (2013)

Humanity faces extinction as enormous creatures called Kaiju emerge from an interdimensional breach beneath the Pacific Ocean. To counter this threat, the Pan Pacific Defense Corps deploy massive, dual-piloted robots known as Jaegers, syncing two pilots’ minds to operate these machines in battle. Idris Elba’s character leads the military response, coordinating Earth’s last line of defense.

When the Kaiju attacks intensify, Raleigh Becket and Mako Mori, two unlikely pilots with troubled pasts, are called upon to pilot a refurbished Jaeger. Together, they must overcome personal challenges and harness their connection to confront the relentless alien menace threatening to destroy civilization.
