The Proposal (2009)

Margaret Tate, a high-powered book editor, faces deportation when she learns her visa status is in jeopardy. To avoid being sent back to Canada, she coerces her assistant Andrew Paxton into a fake marriage, forcing them into a complicated arrangement.

As they navigate the challenges of pretending to be a couple, Margaret and Andrew travel to his family home in Alaska, where they must convince his relatives and the immigration authorities that their relationship is genuine. Tensions arise as their professional and personal lives collide in this unexpected situation.
