The Awakening (1980)

British archaeologist Matthew Corbeck disrupts the tomb of an ancient Egyptian queen during an excavation, unleashing a malevolent force. Soon after, his daughter Maggie begins to exhibit bizarre and disturbing behavior as the queen’s spirit takes hold of her.

As Matthew and those around him confront the supernatural presence, they must find a way to protect Maggie from the dark power threatening to consume her. The unfolding horror unfolds against the eerie backdrop of Egypt’s desert and the secrets buried beneath its sands.
