Amy Reed, a lonely young girl, struggles to connect with others until she forms an unusual friendship with the ghost of her father Oliver Reed’s deceased first wife. Alongside her, Amy also befriends Julia Farren, an aging, withdrawn actress living nearby who shares a mysterious connection to the past.

As Amy navigates this eerie companionship, the boundaries between imagination and reality begin to blur, prompting tension within her family. The story centers on Amy’s world of enchantment and the challenges she faces reconciling it with her everyday life.
