The Meg (2018)

Jonas Taylor, a deep sea submersible pilot, is called back to the Mariana Trench to assist a research team exploring the depths. During the mission, an ancient, massive shark believed to be extinct is accidentally released from its underwater habitat, posing a deadly threat to everyone involved.

As the creature surfaces, Jonas must confront his past fears and work with a group of scientists and divers, including oceanographer Suyin and others from the research facility, to stop the prehistoric predator before it reaches populated areas. The operation unfolds across deep ocean sites and coastal environments as they race against time to contain the situation.
