The Mummy (1932)

In 1920s Egypt, a British archaeological team unearths the mummy of Imhotep, an ancient priest condemned for forbidden rituals. When one of the researchers unwittingly recites a sacred spell, Imhotep is brought back to life, escaping captivity near the dig site.

Driven by memories of his lost love, Imhotep begins searching for the woman who embodies her reincarnated soul. As he stalks through Cairo, the boundaries between the living and the undead blur, putting those around him in grave danger.
