The Sound of Music (1965)
Maria, a lively postulant at an Austrian abbey, is sent to serve as governess to Captain Georg von Trapp, a strict widower with seven children. Tasked with bringing order and care to the household, Maria gradually wins over the children with her warmth and love of music.
As she brings joy and song back into the von Trapp family’s life, Maria and Captain von Trapp face the challenges of their contrasting worlds during the tense years before World War II in Austria. Her presence begins to transform their rigid home into a place filled with laughter and harmony.
