The Stand (1994)

Based on Stephen King’s bestselling novel, *The Stand* is a post-apocalyptic miniseries that follows the survivors of a deadly plague that has wiped out most of humanity. As the world descends into chaos, the remaining few are drawn to two opposing leaders—Mother Abagail, a kind-hearted prophet guiding them toward hope, and Randall Flagg, a dark and mysterious figure who seeks total domination.

Spanning four episodes, *The Stand* tells an epic tale of good versus evil, where the fate of humanity rests on the choices of a handful of survivors. Featuring an ensemble cast led by Gary Sinise, Molly Ringwald, and Jamey Sheridan, this adaptation remains one of the most faithful and gripping interpretations of King’s work.
