Timecop (1994)
In 2004, Max Walker works for a government agency tasked with regulating the use of time travel to prevent temporal crimes. When a corrupt politician with a hidden connection to Max’s past exploits time travel for personal gain, Max is forced to track him across different time periods to stop his unlawful actions.
As Max navigates through shifting timelines, he must use his skills and knowledge of time enforcement to protect the integrity of the timeline and uncover the truth behind the politician’s motives. The confrontation intensifies as Max confronts both external threats and unresolved elements from his own history.

Nice! Can’t forget the cracker taking down the sentries using Mac 10s with laser sights.. Good example of how sci fi used the 90s to keep breaking the mold.
