Braindead (1992)

Lionel Cosgrove’s quiet life is disrupted when his mother is bitten by a mischievous Sumatran rat-monkey, causing her to transform into a ravenous zombie. As she begins preying on the residents of their small town, the infection rapidly spreads, turning neighbors and loved ones into the undead. Lionel must navigate this chaos while trying to protect those around him, including his love interest Paquita and his Uncle Les.

With the town succumbing to the zombie outbreak, Lionel faces the challenge of containing the rapidly escalating horror before it becomes uncontrollable. Along the way, familiar figures such as Father McGruder and Nurse McTavish become entwined in the unfolding disaster, as Lionel races against time to prevent the infection from consuming everyone he cares about.
