Creepshow (1982)

In a series of stories styled like a 1950s horror comic, five distinct situations bring eerie and unsettling events to life. One tale centers on Henry and Wilma Northrup, who encounter a mysterious crate harboring a dangerous occupant. Another follows Richard Vickers dealing with unsettling consequences after an encounter at the beach. In a small town, Jordy Verrill discovers a strange meteor that triggers unexpected transformations, while the Grantham family faces disturbing occurrences linked to a past tragedy. Elsewhere, Upson Pratt contends with an escalating infestation of cockroaches overtaking his tightly controlled environment.

Each segment introduces characters confronting supernatural or bizarre forces in their everyday settings, blending horror with dark humor. Locations range from rural towns to isolated buildings, where ordinary people like Dexter Stanley and Sylvia Grantham are drawn into strange and threatening predicaments. These episodic stories connect through their comic book presentation and share a tone of suspense mixed with macabre humor.
