Old Yeller (1957)

In 1860s Texas, young Travis Coates is left responsible for his family’s ranch while his father is away on a cattle drive. Travis manages the household alongside his mother and younger brother, facing the challenges of frontier life.

One day, a stray yellow dog arrives and quickly becomes a part of their lives. Though Travis is hesitant at first, he soon forms a reluctant bond with the dog, who proves to be both a companion and protector for the family as they navigate the demands of their rural homestead.
