The Secret Garden (1987)

After losing her parents to a cholera outbreak in 19th century India, a privileged English girl is sent to live in a remote country mansion in England. The estate is owned by a reclusive and melancholy lord who is both frail and disfigured, keeping a heavy sorrow concealed within its walls.

As she settles into the strange household, the girl becomes determined to uncover the source of the lord’s grief, especially after hearing unsettling screams echo during the night. Her quest to bring light and happiness to the somber manor drives her to confront secrets that everyone else avoids.
